Ocean X Team, Ocean Explorer Expedition, determined to solve the mystery

2012-06-18
In June 2011 Swedish treasure hunters in the Ocean Explorer Expedition captured images of something unusual deep down on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. They think they have made the find of a lifetime. The problem is, they're not exactly sure what it is they've uncovered. Now the Ocean Explorer Expedition search intensively for revealing the truth about the strange object.

It's estimated around 100,000 objects, mostly shipwrecks, are littered throughout the Baltic. Deep-sea salvage company Ocean Explorer uses sonar imaging to search for wrecks. Treasure hunters now work to find scientific answers about the unidentified object, according to information on the website Ocean X Team, Ocean Explorer Expedition.

On June 19th 2011 the Swedish-based diving company Ocean X Team discovered something they’ve never quite seen before. They were exploring in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland looking for sunken treasures when a very unusual image suddenly appeared on the sonar. A 197 feet diameter cylinder shaped object was discovered at the depth of approximately 275 feet. Treasure hunters, Peter Lindberg, Dennis Åsberg are in the midst of planning for their next excursion; to find out what’s there, and how it ended up in the Baltic Sea. Ocean X Team’s Operation Baltic Discovery will unveil what people around the world are waiting to find out- What’s really there?

“We need to know what we’ve found. Media has been speculating about everything from UFO’s to Russian space ships. What we know at this point is its size and shape and we also know, based upon the sonar image, that there is a ridged tail going from or to the cylinder shaped anomaly of about 3 800 feet throughout the bottom of the sea, ”said Peter Lindberg, one of the professionals at Ocean X Team.

“We cannot tell when it was placed in the Baltic Sea, if the object was dumped into the sea or if it’s a natural phenomenon,” continues Peter Lindberg.

“We are determined to successfully complete our mission of finding out what’s at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Because of the sea depth, it is a risky operation that requires a lot of planning, strategy and financial resources,” said Dennis Åsberg, one of the three professionals at Ocean X Team in Stockholm, Sweden.

Out searching for shipwrecks at a secret location between Sweden and Finland, the deep-sea salvage company Ocean Explorer captured an incredible image more than 80 meters below the water's surface. At first glance, team leader and commercial diver Peter Lindberg joked that his crew had just discovered an unidentified flying object, or UFO.

At the moment, in June 2012, Ocean X Team reports on its website (7th June 2012) that the divers are now down and investigating the circle and reports from the ship say they are really amazed. There is definitely something unusual hiding at the seabed – a Mystery Beneath. More information and pictures will be released soon.
